Many having been asking me what the word "obuswandi" means.
Well let me break it down for you; "OBUSWANDI" is the hormonal reaction that one gets in any situation attributed to love. In such situations, your body releases hormones or "obuswandi" that activate your stress response, increasing your blood levels of adrenalin and cortisol. 擘餅聚會的默想

今天沒有回自己教會參加擘餅聚會。我在默想自己參加聚會，心中也被神吸引着。我想，擘餅聚會可能從信望愛中加強我們把信仰內在化。

聚會可以挑旺我們的信心，重新提醒我們耶穌基督的肉是可以吃的，祂的血是可以喝的，祂是從天降下來的生命糧，我們吃了喝了，就有永生，而且常在基督裡面，祂也常在我們裡面（約６：５３－５６）。這是我所相信的。

聚會可加添我們的愛心，因想到，一人既替眾人死，眾人就都死了。因此我們現今活着，不再為自己活，乃為替我們死而復活的主活（林後５：１４－１５）。

聚會可加添我們的盼望，因為我們所記念的主是永恆的主。祂雖然死了，只有一次，卻從死裡復活，不再死亡，長遠活着（羅６：９－１０；來７：２５），我們也在等候在神的國與主喝萄葡汁 (路22:16-18)。

 

對參加擘餅聚會，有時也不太願意，因大多數的時候，無論是參加者選詩來唱或引領禱告，很少可以使我有同鳴的感受或思想。有時哭泣聲太多，不能認同祈禱者的感受或思想。幸而我個人默想，能越時空的參與，帶來內心的火熱。

與FR一席話

FR十月十日來找我，談了幾個小時。這不是一般的輔導，而是對於他所提的疑問表達我的意見。以下我列出他所提的問題，及我的意見。他提的，有自我指責、恐懼、強迫性思想、及懷疑等問題。

 

1) 問: 我內心常指控自己犯罪，想不當想的，未能有主耶穌所顯示的聖潔，即使被魔鬼誘惑，也不致於犯罪。

答:

a) 一個人受試探，被私慾挑逗去想一些不宜的東西，與受不住試探，放縱自己繼續停留思想這些東西，兩者是不同的。有話說，受試探就像小鳥飛過你的頭，但受不住試探就如容許小鳥在頭上築巢。我們勝過試探的基本方法是能夠馬上停止那些不宜的思想或聯想.。其次，也沒有人能像耶穌的聖潔，如果你做不到，不用太指責自己吧！

b) 操練思想的聖潔，開始的時候當然不能一下子戒絕犯罪的思想，但在想的時候要盡快停止它；關鍵在於你能幾快停止自己去想。如果你每次停止「罪惡思想」所需的時間都有減少，就證明你有所進步，應當感謝神的保守，並決心更順從聖靈，更克制肉體。

c) 如果經常閒散，即使停了思想之後也會再想。我們當愛惜光陰，善用一切空閒的時間。平常工作或閱讀所遇見的問題，或人際問題，把它們記下來，寫在咭紙上。當你有少許空閒的時間，便可拿出咭紙來思考。這樣做，既可盡用時間，也可防止自己胡思亂想。

d) 從心理學的角度，我看見一些聖經道理，描述自我觀、犯罪的惡果、對惡行及肉體的態度、以及對神的懼怕，若我們牢牢記得，犯罪的時候又重溫，以致對罪產生厭惡，對犯罪產生恐懼，這就有助減少試探再次出現的機會。

i. 自我觀：肯定那在你耳裡用語聲挑逗、在你眼內用視像誘惑、或在你心中鼓動的，不是你自己本人，而是你的敵人，是你裡頭愧惡敗壞的罪性 (羅7：17)；利用你本來正常的需要，要你即時用想像的方法來滿足，變成犯罪的途徑。

ii. 犯罪的惡果：只會做了罪的奴僕，將來又會感羞恥，結局是死亡，與神分離，完全沒有好處 (羅6：16，21)。

iii. 對惡行及肉體的態度：態度要狠，把它治死 (羅 8：13)，看肉體及邪情私慾已釘在十架，是被咒詛的，是討厭的 (加3：13；5：11，24)。

iv. 對神懼怕：因着神的聖潔及公義，產生懼怕，因而成聖 (林後7:1)。也怕不能達到神的標準，所以恐懼戰兢 (腓2：12)。

若人在潛意識的情緒，即是恨惡、羞恥、討厭、懼怕等，經過操練，都能隨著意識的使用，產生對罪或犯罪負面情緒，就容易克勝情慾了

2) 問: 我是一個詩班員，當我獻唱的時候，常會自我控訴，提醒自己說：「我是有罪及不潔的」，因而產生恐懼。此外，我的恐懼也會由控訴轉移到對神的恐懼，因祂是神聖的。由於這個緣故，我對在台上獻唱更感到害怕，甚至我會腳震。

 

心理分析對人的內心活動有許多推想，由於都是基於病人的故事，對於普遍人性本質的推想，真確性不會高。然而對人內心壓力的問題，或許能提供一些靈感。其中它指出人的緊張 (anxiety) 有兩種，一是源於那單求自我滿足的原我。負責行動的自我，被它聳動，因怕在公眾面前不能自制去犯罪而產生緊張。另一種是來至超我對自我所作的道德要求，如果標準很高，自我感到力不能逮，便會產生道德性的緊張。在聖經裡，懼怕明顯有許多種：有怕人與怕神的分別，也有怕鬼怪及怕危險的。
與兩種緊張相似的，也有因犯了的罪而懼怕受罰，及因神的聖潔及其標準而恐懼戰兢。與你的問題相關的，就是這兩種恐懼。

因犯了罪或愆尤而引致內心的自責，聖靈也會使用，使人自己責備自己，引導人悔改歸向基督。一個信徒若被過犯所勝，應做的，卻不是自我控訴，而是倚靠中保耶穌，除掉罪案與罪污。我們的憑藉有兩種，a)基督是我們的義，b).耶穌基督的血能清潔我們的良心。

 

a) 信靠神的人是在基督裡，因此神所見的，只有是基督 (林前1：30-31)，祂就是我們的義。不但這樣，羅八章更引伸說，誰能控告神所揀選的人呢,有神稱他們為義了。誰能定他們的罪呢，有基督耶穌已經死了，而且從死裡復活,現今在神的右邊，替我們祈求。因此，論到我們的罪，無論是信主前或信主後犯的，只要我們仍在基督裡，都不會搖動我們稱義的地位。只是將來在基督台前的審判 (林後 5：10)，我們的行為，就會影響我們在神面前所得的賞賜。

b) 不過，若我們也責備自己，就不能向神坦然無懼 (約壹3：21)，你的問題是在這裡吧。保守着一顆清潔的良心是重要的，它影響人的愛心及對真道的持守 (提前1：5；1：19；3：9)。耶穌基督所流的血，能洗淨我們的良心 (來9：14；10：22)，只要我們認罪及悔改，就能得著這潔淨的功效。若你相信主血的潔淨功效，在認罪及悔改後，就當向神有坦然無懼的心。

 

因此，如果因着犯了的過錯而自控或懼怕，這都是因為沒有完全明白及享用神的救贖恩典，當知道在愛裡就沒有懼怕 (約壹4：18)。然而，與我們同在的神是聖潔的，若因此而感到道德的壓力，產生敬畏警覺的心，這是聖經所肯定的。這種因道德的壓力而產生的懼怕，應是短暫的，不是持久的，因為我們不是靠自己，而是靠聖靈行事 (羅7：18；加5：25)。

 

人的懼怕，也可以完全跟犯了罪或道德的壓力無關，只是怕人。就是怕自己做得不夠好，得不著別人的稱讚。若別人的稱讚是重要的話，就要勤加操練，達到要求的水平，這樣，演出就有信心了。

 

3) 問: 對於獻唱，我怕自己做得不夠好，同時，我也會控訴自己不相信神只信自己，因為單信自己就不能做得更好。

 

a) 你的所謂相信神似乎是不容你自己努力去改善，因為這樣做，你就會指為靠自己。如果你努力也未能達標，你更會指是因靠自己所以做得不好。如果你不去改善，情況就更糟了，你也一樣可指是因未能完全信靠神，甚致會指控自己試探神，所以結果這麼糟。你的問題就變得沒完沒了。

 

b) 甚麼是信靠神呢？以色列人攻耶利哥城，繞着城走，祭司吹角，百姓呼喊，城牆就塌陷，這是信靠神吧。但在攻艾城的時候，卻用詭計，詐敗誘敵，又用伏兵，難道是沒有信心嗎？攻耶利哥城的方法，是神曉諭的 (約6：2)，攻艾城的方法，也是神吩咐的 (約8：1-2)。信心就是依着神的話去做，如果在耶利哥用伏兵或在艾城繞着城走，都屬沒有信心及莽信。而攻艾城的方法，也與一般兵法相通，兵不厭詐。因此，如果不按神的指示，又沒有把自己的本份做好，專為神製做爛攤子，動輒要神直接干預，我想這是莽信多於信靠神。當你信靠神，相信祂是至高無上的，你一定會盡心、盡性、盡意、盡力地服侍祂。這並不是靠自己，而是正確的反應，除非所用的方法是聖經明明禁止的。神的工作有賴人積極的參與，祂不會取代了人的工作。

 

4) 問: 我對一些自己不能控制，而又會打擾我獻唱的事情，感到恐懼。如當我在台上獻唱時，我害怕那舞台會塌下來，我會因此而出醜。

 

a) 我們做任何事情都會依據預期會發生的事而加以部署，例如今天好可能下雨，你出外時就帶備雨傘。但你絕不會為所有可能發生的事來粗心。例如你絕不會因為有高空擲物而不出街，也不會立了遺囑才出門口；這種情況只會在病態時才會出現。一般人都曉得運用邏輯思考，對於機會率很微的意外不會憂慮，這樣憂慮只會妨礙日常生活。在心理學的實驗裡，1/20 的機會已屬太小了。因此那些如屬百分一、千分一，或萬分一機會的意外，我們絕不應為它粗心。你問你自己，舞台會塌下來以前發生過嗎？機會率有幾高呢？如果那機會率是少過百分之一，就不用理會了，否則，這樣的痴想會令你著魔。

今天 (4/10)，在教會崇拜程序中，會眾誦讀尼吉亞信經。在信經中，有一句認信，我以為很不恰當。該認信似乎意味著，洗禮是唯一的赦罪機制。同時，預備聖餐的訊息也使我感到不對：「宇宙的主上帝，祢是當受讚美的。祢賜不這餅，是大地的出產和人類勞動的成果，求主使它成為生命之餅。…祢賜下這酒，是葡萄的果實和人類勞動的成果，求你使它成為天國的美酒。從前散佈在田野和山邊的穀物和葡萄，現在結合成為枱上的餅和酒… ..」。會後向其中一位宣教師表達，他邀我把它寫下來。

誦讀的尼吉亞信經中有關洗禮的認信，字面表達洗禮是赦罪唯一的機制，並不符合聖經的信仰。首先，在信仰裡沒有什麼獨特的洗禮，有水及聖靈的洗。而水的洗禮，不同教派又有不同的形式。洗禮在聖經的意義，是象徵信了的人已經與基督同死，同埋葬，並一同復活（羅馬6：3-5）。此外，它也標誌着信徒加入教會，歸屬基督（林前10：1-2）。它卻沒有任何洗罪的能力。罪得赦免是因耶穌所流的血 (來 9: 14；10：19)。血裡有生命，主流血是為我們死，償還罪價 (羅 3:24；4:25)。信經這裡提到赦罪，卻沒有提主的血，我感到十分詫異。

美國的英語版本 (in one baptism in repentance, for the remission, and forgiveness of sins)的問題有點不同。英語本似乎集中在悔改的基礎上作罪的寬恕。然而，這是早期教會把悔改與受洗連在一起，現時卻不再是這樣了。取而代之的，我們現在是依照羅10:9神的應許要求人們向神祈禱，使那些口裡認耶穌為主，心裏信他從死裏復活的人，得着拯救。因此現時人罪得赦免，是因人在禱告裡認主，不是在洗禮裡悔改。不過，英語版本的問題較少，只是過時，而不是不合聖經，說洗禮是獨特的機制，使人的罪得赦。

預備聖餐的訊息，意義含糊，並沒有清楚的道理。例如生命餅是什麼呢？是主的身體、主的肉嗎？聖經不也是生命糧嗎？如果穀餅不按祈禱奇妙地轉化成這裡所稱的生命餅，是否就不能記念主呢？同樣，天國的酒不會是主立約的血，究竟是什麼東西？路22:18所記將來在天國渴的，是天國的酒嗎？其次，聖餐最主要的作用:就是記念主為我們捨身，用祂的血、就是祂的生命，立了新的約，卻完全沒有交代，給予信徒提供了錯誤的方向。

事實上，聖經並不缺乏相關的訊息，可以準備會眾投入聖餐聚會。我現在把即時想到的，列舉出來：耶穌取了身體，為要順服神的旨意，成就救贖（來10:5-7），他是神成了肉身，在人中間表明神（約1：14,18），祂虛己 (腓 2:6-8)，為我們受苦難（彼前2:24），是天上降下來的糧（約6：），信耶穌不只是一個知識，而是接納耶穌（約1:12），因此我們有耶穌的生命在裡面，使我們像基督（弗4：24），救贖是一個奧祕（弗3：8-10），很多人很難理解（約6：及羅1:），耶穌實現神的義（羅3-5：），我們信的人是與基督同死、同埋葬、及同復活（羅6：），耶穌是大祭司和供物（來9:11-12），耶穌的血是唯一赦罪的倚靠（來9：14），耶穌的血今天仍然是有效，使我們能以親近神（來10:19-20），我們有了一切生命和敬虔事（彼後1:3-9），因此我們需要分外殷勤（來10:22-25; 彼後1 :5 – 11），他受苦的樣式可以成為我們的動力與榜樣（來12：3; 13: 12-13），他死的方式表明是那在舊約中預言的救主（太27：;路22-23：; 約19：），可引伸到將來在神的國與主喝葡萄汁，是我們的希望（路22:18），最後的復活和勝利（林前15:22-58）。以上每個環節都可以寫成一段或以上的聖餐預備訊息。

當我們討論信仰與心理學之前，當認清楚何謂心理學，以免犯錯。米亞斯 (Myers)說：『心理學使古舊聖經有關人本性的智慧活躍起來，也把活潑信仰與人類康健及快樂連繫起來。…心理學也會挑戰信仰，使我們再思某些假設，因為所存的真理都是神的真理，所以我們當歡迎而非懼怕心理科學』。在同一書內，柏力臣 (Powlison) 卻以為，在聖經內論到人心思與行為的經文才是信徒的心理學；而現代心理學提供的治療，使人專看快感、健康與疾病，而非神如何看我們。因此他認為心理學是偶像與異端的媒介，又設立了偽祭司，搶奪了聖職人應做的工作。
以上兩者都被稱為美國教會心理學的代言人，前者在大學從事社會心理學的研究與教授，後者是輔導學的執業者及作家，然而他們對心理學的看法，大不相同。米亞斯是近代最暢銷的基要心理學課本的作者，他所認識的心理學，是心理學界認同的，而柏力臣的是一厢情願的心理學，無怪乎米亞斯在回應柏力臣時，說他所指的大概是另一種心理學，與一般在大學教授的不同。如果我們把錯誤的認識投射在心理學，又按那錯誤的認識來否定心理學研究能應用於教會事工，堅持心理學與信仰水火不容，對教會事工只會是絆腳石。

早前跟朋友談起，有些華人教會，排斥心理學，比較庇厘亞人呼聲更甚；他們攻擊整體的心理學，視為邪惡。我的朋友卻不相信我，他說在現代的世界裡，哪裡會有這麼迂腐、落伍和極端的人士呢？我要感謝林與張 (1140期) 的"澄清"，他們的文章及其所引用的文獻，清楚證明在教會內仍有一股很大的反智、反科學的勢力。他們也否定其他學科如哲學及文藝。盼望更多的有識之士，如余與黃 (1043期) 及鄒 (1044期)等，從哲學、文學、科學、心理治療、神學…等專業角度作回應，以至那些林與張的跟隨者/同行者，能明白這些思想的錯謬。由於林與張對心理學實在有太多誤解，對陳與羅 (1130, 1131期) 的文章又有許多曲解，需澄清的實在很多。在這一篇裡，本人只能根據他們在首段對心理學科學本質的抨擊，指出他們認識的缺乏、思想模式的錯誤、理據的混淆、以及對引文的扭曲。至於其他的評論，如前設的原理、加爾文的普通啟示等等，留待日後有時間再寫。

認識的缺乏

首先讓我們來看一看他們如何理解科學。他們在文章裡說：「心理學不能算是真正的科學，或作偽科學。在一般大學中，心理學是被列為行為科學或社會科學，而不是自然科學。」言下之意，就是自然科學才是真正的科學，行為科學和社會科學卻不算。這是一個非常落伍的說法，也是物質主義者 (materialist) 及還原論者 (reductionist) 的論調。衍生理論 (Emergent Theory) 顯示基本物質可以產生新的存在，其現象是基本物質不能解釋的 (Brown, 2002)。人的意識就是一個很好的例子，不能等同腦細胞的激活，正如一首歌不等同許多的音符一樣。科學就是通過邏輯手段與實驗方法，探討事物的規律，得出經過驗證而有系統的知識。把這方法用於不同範疇，就形成不同的科學。當然，若把科學定義為不受時空影響的定律，只限於人類範圍的心理知識，當然就不可能是科學，只有物理學及數學才算。我想沒有人會接受這麼狹窄的定義吧！

心理學的科學認許，始於它的成立與實驗的緊密關係。我們知道，亞里士多德的時候，已經談論心理觀念。只是當馮特於1879年建造第一所實驗室，專用來研究心理的課題，心理學才正式被命名。其次，心理學的科學本質可由它的實驗模式知悉，這模式叫假設-推理模式，和其他的自然科學並無分別 (這一點已在1130期交代過)。第三，心理學的每一個研究成果，都會被其他心理學者評論，所作的實驗會被重複，若有錯誤，成果會被質疑、修改或否定。這種自我監察及修正的機制，與自然科學沒有分別。心理學一般被分類為社會科學，然而人也算是自然的產品，所有的心理規律也會跟自然規律接軌。北京大學就把心理學編到科學院裡。生態心理學 (ecological psychology) 更宣稱，人對環境的知覺，是由一些心理-物理 (psychophysical) 定律支配着，人也在定律的引導下，在自然環境中走動 (Kugler & Turvey, 1987)。菲斯特 (Feist, 2006) 更強調，科學院的課程需要加入心理學，一些獨特的科學觀念與方法，惟有心理學才能提供。

心理學也是一門獨特的科學，與其他學科不同。其一，研究的對象就是與研究者相同的人，嚴格的控制有一定的困難。其二，研究的主題，除了行為以外，還有人的內心；而內心是隱藏的，不能直接觀察 (Fodor, 1982)。其三，課題繁多，由生物心理至社會心理都有。這些課題都有不同的方法來研究。由於以上獨特的原因，心理學沒有一個共通的研究範式 (paradigm)，內裡有着許多分歧，有些銳意尋求科學定理，有些則強調行為的解釋 (hermeneutical)（Wetherick, 1979），因此爭論性非常之高。在爭論中，心理學者會用苛刻的字句，甚至攻擊對方的科學性。然而，他們在評論中就可以揭發彼此的弱點，心理學就可以不斷在自我審查中更正。心理學家從不說自己的理論是真理，一個好的心理學理論不是永恆的，而是能引起很多人的興趣，多方面來做實驗，找出它不正確的地方，加以修正。那些自圓其說，不能被證偽的理論，其實對心理學的成長是完全沒有幫助的。

心理學還有一個特點，就是分開科學與專業兩部份。而專業則以臨床心理學家為最大多數。究竟臨床心理學家所用的方法，有沒有科學的基礎呢？於第二次世界大戰後，臨床心理診治的需求非常大，於是美國心理學協會就委任了石高 (Shakow) 擔任一個委員會的主席，設計訓練臨床心理學的課程，提供給其他機構開辦，並確定標準。於1949年的心理學會 ( Boulder Conference)，討論發展專業心理學。他們主張臨床心理學的訓練課程，要有同樣比重的研究及實踐 (Peterson, 2007)。一直以來，正統的臨床心理學的課程均以此為目標，訓練出一些有科學家質素的從業者 (scientist-practitioner)。他們有良好的理論基礎，能夠從研究報告中分辨那一種療法有治療的依據。然而，這個理想並不容易達成。他們不斷發表文章討論行內的缺欠，及追尋怎樣利用教育去解決這類問題 (Melchert, 2007)。其他的從業者，如教育心理學家、輔導心理學家等也有相同的傾向。然而，由於心理治療可以是一門賺錢的生意，所以有人發展一些沒有心理學基礎的治療方法，也有人盜用了別人不同的方法而沒有一個自己貫徹的理論，他們都湧入心理治療這個範疇裡要分一杯羹。這正是正統心理治療界要解決的問題 (Lilienfeld, Lyn & Lohr, 2000)。

如果有不明白心理學的人，把心理科學獨特之處指為非科學，豈不是頭腦太簡單了嗎？

本人是一位對心理學有興趣的基督徒，有一個我信主前的疑問，信主後仍想問的問題想向閣下請教。因為我主要是理性上信主。

基督徒常常說祈禱後，事情如他所願般發生，所以把事件解釋為神聽了他的禱告，經歷了神的幫助。那麼這只是「自證預言」令人覺得經歷神的幫助，還是神真的聽了禱告幫助他。

為何會從事心理與信仰？

心理學究竟是什麼呢？心理學是一門學科，用科學方法去研究人的心思與行為；宗教信仰其實大致來說也是涉及人的心思與行為，因此從兩者的表面定義裡，便可知兩者其實是息息相關的。無論我們在信主、成長或是侍奉的經歷裏，都可見兩者的關係。譬如說你是如何信主的呢？〈羅馬書〉第10章9節說：「你若口裏認耶穌為主，心裏信上帝叫他從死裏復活，就必得救。」心裡相信，口裡承認，不就是涉及心思、行為嗎？再說，你如何成長呢？〈以弗所書〉第4章23-24節告訴我們：「要將你們的心志改換一新。並穿上新人」；當中是否有心思、有行為呢？又說，你如何侍奉呢？〈羅馬書〉12章指出我們首先要將自己看得合乎中道，然後才可以在整體裡與其他人一起在不同的崗位中侍奉主。這當中是否也涉及心思、行為呢？從這許多不同的層面中，我們可以看到心理學與我們的信仰是息息相關的。我甚至認為如果我們要清楚明白自己的信仰，就一定要認識「心理學」。

可惜，今天的教會很多都以信仰去否定心理學；有一些心理學家亦同樣以他們的專業知識去否定信仰，這是非常可悲的現象。所以我就立心奉獻，要在心理學與信仰這
兩層面之間作一些工夫。今天早上，我想與大家分享我是如何邁出這一步。回頭一看，我能夠邁出這一步是因為三個有關信仰的決定及兩個主張。

(一) 三個有關信仰的決定

第一個決定就是我決志信主。當時是一九六０年，我是一個迷信科學且自恃的中二學生。那時我完全不相信什麼鬼神，且對宗教十分鄙視。放學後，當我看到樓梯間有
人燃燒香燭時，我通常都會以保持空氣清新為由，將所有的香燭踩熄。有些人對我說這樣做是會得到報應，但我絕對不相信，也不駭怕，我是百分百的「無鬼神主義」者。
想不到突破是由家人的迷信開始。我的家人當時是十分迷信的，他們拜神、拜黃大仙，我雖然拒絕參予，但他們卻為我們幾兄弟求簽，求問學業及品格，答案都意外
的中肯。當時我也聽聞一些所謂「神打」的報導，也是科學難以解釋的。雖然當時我是一個迷信科學的學生，也不防礙我感到這些簽語及神打的報導絕非無中生有。
我還不時提醒自己說：「如果你有一個做科學的態度、就應該尊重事實；你一定要相信有靈及靈界的存在。」並且我想，如果真是有靈界的話，那麼哪一位是統管萬
靈的神呢？就在我思索這些問題的時候，就有人帶我去參加學生主辦的團契。

但
當時在團契當中，我只是以一個爭辯、好勝的態度去否定其他人對我說的福音，未有細心聆聽。然而，我當時的態度是很認真的，我保存著一本記事簿，把有關信仰
不合理的地方都記下來。參加聚會的時候，我也帶同這本記事簿，我不是在聽福音真理，而是從講道者的講論中尋找並記下他們的錯漏，然後在培談時，將這些難題
一一提出，故意刁難，而通常我都會得勝，我很享受辯勝別人的感受。

是者過了一段頗長的時間，一天早上起來，頭腦比較清醒的時候，我問了自己幾個問題，與自己爭辯，或者這是神對我說話。我說：陳天祥你是否一個科學家？我答
自己說：我希望是，但現在未是。我再問自己：你可不可以否定別人的科學定理呢？我回答說：我既不是科學家，就不能夠否定別人的定理，如果能否定，我便是科
學家了。我再問自己第三個問題：你說是科學定理深奧，還是神的定理深奧呢？我想了一想，便回答說：如果真是神創造這宇宙萬物的話，這樣神的定理應該是比被
創造萬物的定理深奧。於是我便對自己說：你既然不是科學家，用你許多的時間也你不能夠否定其他人的定理；你又不是神學家，你如何能夠用剎那腦的波動去否定
別人更加深奧的神學理論呢？我忽然看到了自己的愚昧。從那時起，我便不再為了逞強而否定在聽道時所傳的道理。

自
始我漸漸開始明白基督教的道理，但那時候的我，心裏還是對這個信仰充滿疑問。雖然我花很多時間去從書中尋找答案、去尋找真相，但始終我心裡還有許多疑問。
很多疑問是不能夠從科學角度去解釋的，譬如：世上為何會有罪惡？神是全知、全能的，為何還有這樣多的悲劇發生呢？日子一天一天的過去，我仍然未能決志信
主。當時我一位十分虔誠的基督徒同學更心中斷言我是不可能信主的(我信主後他才告訴我)。
幸然，當時我也漸漸明白人是不能夠用科學方法去解釋及明白所有真理；而科學也不過只是接近真理罷了。我頓然明白，若果我要用科學的方法澄清所有信仰的是非
問題，窮我一生都不能信。如果我認為信仰對我是重要的，我應該察看教會的信仰是否真實；重點是真與假，而非是與非。當我以這新的焦點來看信仰時，教會給我
清楚的明證。從信徒因悔改相信而帶來巨大的改變，我確實找到很多例證去證明信仰的真實。這是我第三個轉變，我從此有意相信，但是我的態度仍是半信半疑。我
參加了不少佈道聚會，但聚會裡還是沒有人能夠讓我這個對信仰半信半疑的人可以去全心全意接受神。

一次，我參加了一個佈道會，我很想全心全意相信神，但是在呼召的時候我沒有舉手，因為我認為佈道者沒有提供一個方法給我這個半信半疑的人去全心全意接受主。回家途中，門外有人派些小冊子，這小冊子名為「成為一個基督徒」("Becoming a Christian")。
小冊子一開首時指出了很多要信主的理由，最後說：如果你是清楚神是創造這個世界的，耶穌基督來到這個世界是為了拯救你，死在十字架上，你便這樣祈禱：神
呀，我相信你，求耶穌基督拯救……。但我的情況並非完全清楚，所以我略過這個祈禱。幸好它接著說：如果你是半信半疑的話，你便這樣祈禱吧！說：神呀，如果
你是真的話，我願意接受你……。這段禱告是最適合我當時的心境，就在半信半疑的情況下，我便照著這個禱告來祈禱。我還記得當時的情境：我坐在床上，把這小
冊子看完，然後說出這個半信半疑的禱告。就在我祈禱的時候，奇妙的事便發生了，我剎那間覺得自己像經歷了第三類接觸一樣，有一種被釋放、罪得赦免的感覺。
這感覺、經歷是真實且無可置疑的。這感覺及經歷使我剎那間能全心全意接受主，我轉過身來，跪在床前再照著第一個禱文禱告一遍：「神呀，我相信你，求耶穌基
督拯救……」。這就是我信主的一刻。

四個的轉變，將一個完全自恃且迷信科學的中學生，變成一個基督徒，這是第一個決定。我的第二個決定，是我全心全意的奉獻。在幾年的信主生活裡，我漸漸更加愛神，更熱切要去侍奉神，我應如何去描述當時的心境呢？〈詩篇〉第84篇3節裡面所說的最貼切：「萬軍之耶和華，我的王我的神呀!在你祭壇那裡，麻雀為自己找著房屋，燕子為自己找著菢雛之窩。」我也渴望以神的祭壇為我的家。第10節又說:「在你的院宇住一日，勝似在別處住千日。寧可在我上帝殿中看門，不願住在惡人的帳棚裡。」

當時，我是很想當一個科學家，所以要我全時間奉
獻傳道有很大的攔阻。為此我心裡掙扎了很久，但一本書改變了我 — 這本書就是《戴德生傳》。看這本書時，我不知哭了多少次。其中最令我感動的，就是在戴德生的妻兒死後，他自己也染了瘧疾時，他在被窩中震抖，他想：如果神
要我震抖的話，我便不得不抖。我看見這個全心奉獻的人的表白時，一切的抗拒都溶化。於是我報讀了「海外神學院」，預備訓練自己作全時間奉獻。

第
三個決定就是從事心理學與信仰的研究。在神學院讀書的時候，我已經看見有三個可能的方式去研究神學。一就是從服侍教會的角色中去研究神學，就如校牧伍渭文
牧師的事奉。二是從神學院裡的教授來從事神學的研究。三就是從其他學問去研究神學，如哲學、社會學、心理學等等。我在神學院畢業後輾轉開展了一項福音工作 — 「工業福音團契」，在當時大約六、七十萬的工廠工人當中傳福音，帶領他們信主。但在事奉了六、七年後，我心裡便浮現了很多問題。什麼是屬靈的實際呢？如何
才能經歷神的大能呢？我們看見在教會裡事奉的人，他們如果有能力的話，是自己的能力，還是神的能力呢？當時我不能解決很多這類的疑問。就在這時候，心裡重
新勾起從其他學問去研究神學這個意念。於是，我作了一個決定 — 我要讀心理學。在申請被接納後，我就進了香港大學進修心理學。

(二) 兩個主張

現在仍有很多教會否定心理學，他們反對心理學的其中一個原因是認為心理學會將信仰中的因果抽出來，作宿命的解釋，而將神的地位忽略了。其實，心理學的研究，一開始就有「心理學與信仰」這課題。早期的美國心理學家William James，便寫了一本名為The Varieties of Religious Experience (1902)的書探討心理學與信仰。但是，後來有很多教會人士及科學家將「心理學與信仰」的討論極端化了，認為心理學與信仰之間不能並存，兩者之間只能擇其一，就是說如果我們用心理學中的科學方法去解釋人的信仰，就不能同時承認有神的工作；反之亦然，如果我們說信仰是神的工作，我們就不能以科學去解釋人的信仰。這個所謂「二擇其一」(either-or)的
態度，令心理學和信仰不能並存。其實這態度是極為錯誤的。在現今科學發展越來越進步之際，更易看見科學的限制。在科學的角度裡，在任何知識系統，我們都不
能盡知，我們極其量也只是知道部分，而且所知的部分必然是存在著矛盾的。這個見解可以從哲學裡、量子力學裡及數學裡都可看見。從哲學裡，康德的「自體知而
不盡」之說，說明我們知道但不盡知，我們是不會知透的。至於量子力學(Quantum theory)裏，Heisenberg指出在這微觀的世界裡，就算是一粒的粒子，我們都不能同時知道它的位置以及它的動量，我們所知的是都是很有限的。數學家Gödel的Gödel's Incompleteness [...]

從雙黃的愛說起

6月21日，我參加一對中大畢業學生的婚禮，恰巧他們都是姓黃。這雙黃都是成績彪炳，在學校裡面取得無數獎學金的學生。婚禮的高潮，就是他們面對親友數說彼此向對方的傾慕。由於他們都是善用語言的學者，所以他們能夠將心中的傾慕，說得淋漓盡致。在他們的分享中，顯示他們仍然在熱戀當中，熱切的希望跟對方在一起。
男的說他最喜歡女方的笑容，說她的笑容比她睡覺的時間還要多。如果以八小時來計算睡覺時間的話，即女方在醒時有超過一半的時間都是在笑甚而是對著他笑。他
又期待對方的笑會引起他的共鳴，一起「烚熟狗頭」地去共同面對人生的各種問題，他相信這樣一定能超越困難。而女方亦表達對男士的傾慕，認為自己嫁到一位最
好的丈夫。特別令她回味的是無論她在日常生活遇見甚麼事情，帶到他跟前對他傾訴，得到他的回應，在回應後大家抱著一起笑。很明顯的，他的回應對她產生了一
些鼓勵、支持，於是大家抱著一起笑。這種熱切的希望在一起的心境已超越其功能性，到達戀慕的地步，女方說甚至大家一起被蚊子叮，都帶來一個快感。聽完他們
的分享之後，我寫了一句祝福他們的說話，希望他們這個熱切在一起的愛能夠永遠存留著。

這種男女間的愛，可以用來聯想到基督與教會。這就好像舊約的雅歌，用所羅門王與舒拉蜜女的愛情來描述基督與教會的愛。參加完他們的婚禮之後，我回家再讀雅歌，覺得特別有意思。

其中特別有共鳴的，有新郎的話(增訂版)說：「我的佳偶你甚美麗，你甚美麗，你的眼好像鴿子眼，…我的佳偶在女子中，好像百合花在荊棘內」，又說：「我妹子，我新婦，乃是關鎖的園，禁閉的井，封閉的泉源。你園內所種的結了石榴，有佳美的果子，並鳳仙花與哪噠樹，…你是園中的泉，活水的井，黎巴嫩留下來的溪水」等等。

共鳴的也有新娘的話說：「我的良人在男子中，如同蘋果樹在樹林中，我歡歡喜喜坐在他的蔭下，嘗他果子的滋味，覺得甘甜。」又說：「我屬我的良人，我的良人也屬我」，又說：「求你將我放在你的心上如印記，戴在臂上如戳記」。

這些雅歌的詩詞，都是從人間的愛情去表達基督與教會的愛情。很明顯那些情感是有共通性的，因此可以用來顯明人與神中間的情感。同樣地，明白人的心理，可以幫助我們更能明白靈性上的一些感覺、動機或行為。

從心理學來說，在處理外界的資訊中，有關情緒的資訊，會優先處理，產生喜怒等不同的感受，引導我們去接近應接近的，逃避需逃避的。究竟那一事物會產生喜，那一事物會產生怒，除了少數的本能外，大多數都是學習得來的。就是從以前接觸時的事件，或受獎賞，或受刑罰而得的。從雙黃的分享裡，男的就因為女的笑容而引申出對女方的愛；而女的是因為對他傾訴而得著一些支持性的回應，這事件就引致愛的傾慕。當然在教會與基督這個關係上面，我們所遇見的，就是耶穌基督為我們捨身在十字架上。這個具體的事件非常豐富，可以與不同的真理角度去看它，從而產生不同的感受。羅馬書第五章是從與神相和的角度來看，而加拉太書保羅是從向律法死而向神活的角度來看。

羅馬書第五章說我們和神的關係，因主的受死與復活(四章尾), 我們與神的關係，就從仇敵變成了相和。又說，在這個相和的關係裡，我們就會歡喜快樂，甚至在患難當中，我們都會歡喜快樂。這與主捨身在十字架有何關係呢？當我們思想耶穌為仇敵捨命在十架這件事件的時候，透過聖靈的工作，我們有一個感受，這感受如神的愛澆灌在我們心裏；並按着一些簡單的推理，明白在我們還作仇敵的時候，神也差他的兒子為我們死，現在我們已與神和好，有何困難是復活的主不會救我們脫離的呢？我們因而感到有把握。換言之，主捨身十架使神與人相和的事件就可以使我們產生被愛並穩固的感受，這是一種快樂的感受。因此，主捨身十架使神與人和好的事件就可以使我們以神為樂。能以神為樂，當然就可以在患難中歡喜快樂。這種以神為樂的感情與一般的快樂應有所不同。有心理學家(Plutchik)以為愛不是一種基本感情，而是由快樂(joy)加上接受(acceptance)衍生的複合感情。若這是對的話，以神為樂的感情，除了快樂以外，還包含了被神接納及穩妥的感情。

在加拉太書裡，保羅在辯解信主的人不用守律法，因信的人已稱義。又說，他已向律法死了而向神活，就在這個角度上，保羅轉向主捨身十架這事件，引申成與基督同釘十架，信的人聯於耶穌基督的死，也聯於主的活。這樣，他不但說出向律法死，不用守律法的解釋，而且說出他以後的生活，有一個新的動力，就是基督在裡面活着；他說：「我已經與基督同釘十字架，現在活著的不再是我，乃是基督在我裡面活著。」而且有一個新的態度，那就是因信而活；他說：「並且我如今在肉身活着，是因信神的兒子而活」。這兩方面，動力與態度，充份說出保羅如何向神活着。這個生活的態度，其實是一個愛的回應，因此保羅跟着說：「他是愛我，為我捨己」。

耶穌基督在講論舊約的律法的時候，歸納為盡心、盡性、盡意愛主你的神，因此愛神就是律法的精粹。在歌林多前書16:22又說：「若有人不愛主，這人可咒可詛」，可見愛神或愛主的重要性。有了對神的愛，信徒才會獻上身心作活祭，才會心意更新而變化。但愛就是一種的感情，或許會很容易消失，如何能保留着它呢？由於感情是由事件而產生，只要耶穌基督為我們被釘在十字架這事件對我們來說仍是新鮮，思想它的時候就能把這愛保留著。就如雙黃的愛，只要女方的笑對男方仍是新鮮，而男方的回應，仍保有激勵的能力，雙方的愛才有望可持續。
